Howdy! And welcome to femailler.com. The term 'femailler' comes from combining two words: female, and mailler (short for chainmailler, i.e, a person who makes chainmaille). Chainmaille is the timeless art of weaving rings of metal together, originally used to make armor (which you might be familiar with, as seen in The Lord of the Rings and other medieval/fantasy movies).
A much smaller and more delicate version of chainmaille has gained in popularity in more recent years, to form chainmaille jewelry. Whereas the armor is normally made out of steel, the jewelry is normally made out of silver or gold. Sometimes you find jewelry also made out of brightly colored anodized aluminum and/or niobium. Chainmaille clothing made out of anodized aluminum is also starting to be seen.
This website is simply here to showcase the various chainmaille creations I have made. If I make something to sell, I will most likely be selling it on Etsy. And of course, if you have any chainmaille you'd like me to make for you, feel free to contact me and I can let you know if your project is possible, and give you a quote on the price.
Have a look around, and I hope you find something you enjoy. Check back regularly, as I'll be updating the website whenever I make something new.
Enjoy!
